Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 3, 2026
Solvely ("we", "us") is a math practice service for high-school students at solvely.app. We built it to collect as little personal information as possible — especially from students. This page describes what we collect, why, and your choices, in plain language.
Practicing without an account (free)
You can practice on Solvely without creating an account. Free practice does not ask for your name, email address, or account. We may process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser/device information, analytics identifiers, and server logs, to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Accounts (created by a parent or guardian)
Accounts exist for the paid plan and are intended to be created by an adult. An account stores:
- the account holder's email address and a securely hashed password;
- optionally, the student's first name, used only to label the progress dashboard (you may leave it blank);
- practice history (sessions, answers, accuracy) linked to the account, which powers the progress dashboard.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We store your subscription status and billing period so the service knows what you've purchased. Stripe's handling of your data is described in Stripe's own privacy policy.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the product is used (pages viewed, sessions started and completed) so we can improve it. Our analytics are deliberately configured to avoid personal information: no session recordings, form inputs are not captured, and events never include names or email addresses.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the service to work — signing you in (an authentication cookie) and analytics. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell or share personal information with advertisers.
Children's privacy
Solvely is designed for high-school students. Free practice requires no account and collects no personal information from students. Accounts are intended to be created and owned by a parent or guardian. Solvely is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data retention & your choices
We keep account data for as long as the account exists. To delete your account and its data, or to ask any privacy question, email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
